The weak would have never survived here, they would have perished of heat and exhaustion under the beating sun. Stretching for miles, miles on end, the hard soil is patched with dead lawn and animal carcass. In the bare wind, the scent of soil and death will drown your scences. Where sanity is lost, and if you can keep it.. you would survive. Heat, hunger and thirst pulls you down to lay still with the many others who had lost their lives on the bare tract. If you are 'lucky' and you reach the rocky area, you will find yourself to a cool stream, thinner than a twig yet clearer than day. The lawn is little, yet you can find some if you search hard enough. And of course, the rocks provide little shade. All in all, if you are not hearty... you will perish.
